This masterclass is specially designed for those who aspire to be in the Decorative Arts.
Anyone who wants to either pursue a career or even a hobby in the line of designing Textile, Clothing, jewelry, furniture, ceramics, basketry, Graphics or any other artistic craft can be hugely influenced by learning about the following 4 Art movements: Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Pop Art and the Arts and Crafts movement.
Students are given a theory lesson to introduce the movement, its origin, the designers who pioneered the style and the modern day designs influenced by the movement. The following week would be a practical lesson where the student gets to design something with the support of the lecture.
The course aims to help the students to find their own style and navigate the discipline, and to further develop their creativity using their acquired knowledge about these Art movements.
